New The Modern Operations Path™: five steps, enter where you are
Work with me The Operating Site

We replace your website with the operating layer of your business.

The thing that communicates what you actually do, sells the way you actually win, and feeds AI engines the real story instead of leaving them to guess. Componentized, machine-readable, and built to run without us.

A website describes. An operating site runs.

The standard agency website is a brochure: written once, aged immediately, disconnected from how the business works. It answers the questions your business got asked three years ago.

An operating site is built from your Operating Memo — from how the business actually runs. Every claim is true and structured so machines can find, understand, and quote it. Every page is a component you can reuse, so the site grows with the business instead of drifting from it. And the whole thing is documented and handed over: yours to run, not ours to hold hostage.

This is the difference between a site you have and a surface you operate.

What every build includes

Extraction to launch

We start from your Operating Memo, not a blank Figma file. Structure, copy, and build all derive from the same source: how your business works.

Machine readability throughout

Structured data on every page, citable claims, no facts trapped in images. When someone asks an AI about your business, it quotes you instead of guessing.

A componentized system, not pages

New offer? New page in hours, not a new project. The site is a kit that matches your business's parts.

The handoff session

90 minutes at launch: how everything works, what needs tending and how often, and what you can safely ignore. You leave able to run it.

Two builds

Core: 6 to 8 weeks

One primary offer or service line. The full extraction-to-launch build: operating site, structured data, content system, handoff. Everything above, end to end.

Full: 8 to 12 weeks

Multiple service lines, multiple audiences, or standards and credentialing complexity. Everything in Core, plus: campaign infrastructure (landing pages, forms, and tracking as reusable components), analytics architecture across the whole property, and integration with the operating tools your business runs on.

Your Map determines which build fits; the proposal on the memo's last page names one, with a fixed number. Not a range. Not "starting at."

Your Map fee credits in full against either build, started within 60 days.

"Built to run without us" is a design requirement, not a slogan

Most agencies build dependence: proprietary setups, undocumented systems, and retainers you keep paying because leaving is scarier than staying.

We build the opposite, on purpose. Documentation is a deliverable. The handoff session is mandatory. The content system assumes your team, not ours. If we never speak again after launch, the site keeps working and keeps growing.

Some clients still want us involved month to month, because the business keeps changing and someone has to keep the surface caught up. That's the Operating Partner. Your first month is included with every build, so you decide from experience, not a pitch.

Questions

  • Can we skip the Map and go straight to the build? No. The Map is where scope, price, and truth come from. Building without it is how websites end up describing companies that no longer exist — the problem you came here to fix.
  • What platform do you build on? The one that fits your operation, decided in the Map. The commitments that matter are platform-independent: componentized, machine-readable, documented, yours.
  • What about our existing SEO? Preserved and improved. Migration planning, redirects, and structured data are part of every build. Machine readability is the point of the whole thing; we don't break it on the way in.
  • Who does the work? Shane, with a small bench of specialists under his direction. You will not be handed to an account manager. There isn't one.
  • What does it cost to run after launch? Hosting and tooling at cost, typically modest. No mandatory retainer, no maintenance contract. The Operating Partner exists for businesses that want ongoing leverage, not ongoing life support.
